What we planned for the day was to clean the house, do the laundry and plant flowers. But the day is too perfect to spend at home and do household chores. So, forget the messy house....we packed our picnic bag and went for a long car ride. Bebe S was a perfect travel companion. She slept most of the time. We ended up in Ottawa, capital of Canada, a two-hour drive from our place. We always think of bringing bebe S there and it was the best time to do it. Besides the Parliament Building, hubby and I have favorite stores there. He goes to a specialized hardware store and I go a-visiting to scrapbook/craft store. We skipped going to the restaurant for lunch and dinner because we try to travel in a shoe-string budget nowadays. Instead, we brought bread, cheese, creton - a local delicacy, baby food and had a picnic beside the Rideau canal (the world's longest ice-skating rink during winter) watching the boats go up and down the canal.
All in all, it was a beautiful day......and sharing it with the two most important people in my life made it a perfect one.
